Payment Options

For our typical 6 day, 5 night summer sessions, the cost of operating camp is more than $1,400/person. Easterseals Nebraska, through generous donors, subsidizes at least $300 per participant per session, bringing the amount we charge to attend camp down to $1,100. Shorter sessions and sessions with higher camper to counselors ratios cost less than this. Please see the attached chart for costs.

Campers may Privately Pay, use Respite Waiver Units, or a Lifespan Subsidy to pay for camp. We encourage all privately paying campers to get creative in accessing funds to pay for camp. A very limited amount of Camperships are available.

Private Pay
  • Cash, credit/debit cards, or checks are accepted.
  • Please pay on CampDoc with credit/debit card or send checks to Easterseals Nebraska, Attn: Jeri Fleming, 12565 W Center Road, Omaha, NE 68144.
  • Payment plans are available as long as the full balance due is paid by May 1.
  • See "Alternative Funding Ideas" section below for ideas to help supplement your tuition.

Respite Waiver Units
  • Contact your caseworker to mail us an authorization (A&D waiver) or update an authorization within Therap (DD waiver). Your balance due will be updated in CampDoc once we receive documentation listing the correct dates and units for the session(s) the camper will be attending.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure your caseworker sends us the authorization or updates an authorization within Therap. Please let us know if your annual waiver review will delay receipt of the authorization.

Lifespan Subsidy
  • If you are already approved for Lifespan Subsidy, let us know in advance. We will need to verify your eligibility and amount with the Social Services Worker prior to your camp session.
  • Please be sure to bring your billing form to camp so we can bill appropriately after the session.

Alternative Funding Ideas
  • ABLE Account. For more information, visit the ENABLE website.
  • Lifespan Subsidy. For more information, visit the DHHS website.
  • Connect with community organizations. Groups such as Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club, Lions Club, etc. have helped sponsor campers in the past.
  • Hold a fundraiser. Ask a local business such as Panera, Chipotle, Raising Canes, etc. to donate a percentage of their profits for your camper's tuition.
  • Create a crowdsourcing page (ie. GoFundMe). See this handout for some helpful tips.
  • Sell your camper's art, crafts, or host an at home party such as Tupperware, Pampered Chef, etc. and have the consultant donate the profits for your camper's tuition.
  • Have your camper sell food items such as pop, popcorn, candy bars etc. as a fundraiser towards your their camp tuition.

Camperships
If you are in need of a Campership, FIRST register for your session of choice, THEN send in your Campership Application ASAP.
  • Our funds are limited and dependent on our generous donors and most (but not all) of our Campership funds have income guidelines.
  • Please apply early and be sure all information is complete. Applications will be accepted starting January 7, 2020 and on paper only, NOT on CampDoc.
  • Please note that a copy of your most recent tax return, SSDI/SSI award letter, or proof of any other income listed on the application are required. Mail the completed form and required documentation to Easterseals Nebraska, Attn: Holly Windorski, 12565 W. Center Road Omaha, NE 68144 OR fax to 888-611-6396.
  • Camperships will be awarded on a first come, first completed, first serve basis! Notification of Campership Awards will begin in March 2020.
  • If you don't qualify for a Campership, please see "Alternative Funding Ideas" above to help you supplement your camper's tuition.
